Roland Pierce Daggett, Jr, 93, husband of Charma Daggett, passed away on August 16, 2025.
Roland was born on May 1, 1932, in Willoughby, OH. He was the son of the late Roland, Sr and Reva Daggett. He was preceded in death of oldest son, Mark Daggett.
Survivors include his wife, Charma, sons Mike and Matt(Jennifer) Daggett. Survivors also include his 3 stepdaughters that he helped raise for 52 years, Michele Choma, Connie Posey(Carl) and Kelly Choma. Grandchildren, Kyle Hughes, Caylin Spiro(Connor) and Crystal Posey. Great grandchildren, Hayden, Adelaide, Makayla, Emma and Noah.
Roland earned his pilot’s license at the age of 17 while still in high school. He joined the Air Force at 18 years old. He was a tail gunner on a B29 where he completed the maximum of 25 missions. He received the following medals, Korean SVC medal, UN SVC medal, Air Medal, Air Crew Members Badge, Natl Def SVC medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Roland’s main career after leaving the service was a long-distance tractor trailer driver. After retirement, he and Charma enjoyed traveling with friends and family. He was a smart and funny man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed classic cars and the History Channel.
