Lance Thomas Warwick

Lance Thomas Warwick, age 53, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was born on January 22, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Warwick.

Lance is survived by his loving wife and partner, Hope Warwick; his children, Evan Warwick and Brooklyn Warwick; his mother, Lynn Warwick; and his aunt, Sandra Nix. Numerous cousins, friends, and other relatives also survive.

For more than 30 years, Lance worked as an arborist in the North Georgia Mountains, a career in which he took immense pride. Fearless in his work, he was never afraid to climb even the tallest trees. In fact, his dedication and skill once landed him in the newspaper for climbing the tallest tree in North Georgia, located in Helen—a town that held a special place in his heart. Having lived there for many years, Lance built lifelong friendships and cherished memories in Helen.

Beyond his work, Lance was known for his adventurous spirit. He loved the ocean, surfing, and the thrill of new experiences. For a time, he even worked as a deep-sea fisherman off the coast of Alaska. No matter where life took him, Lance remained a devoted family man, a hard worker, and someone who was always ready to lend a hand to those around him.

He will be cremated, and services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help offset final expenses.
