Juhline Holtzclaw Lingerfelt (89) of Dahlonega, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 17, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on June 18, 1936, in Dawson County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Charles Robert Holtzclaw and Sarah Beck Holtzclaw. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Cecil Holtzclaw (Lillian), Frances Holtzclaw, Vashti Satterfield (Charles), Jennie Howard (Homer), William Harrison “Bill” Holtzclaw. Son-in-law, Terry Chafin.
Juhline, was a devoted mother and grandmother who worked hard throughout her life whose greatest joy was to care for others. She cared for many through her work and in elder care where her gentle spirit and selflessness touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Juhline’s, presence as a friend was a source of comfort defined by her compassion, kindness, and unwavering support for others. Juhline, was a caring and helpful friend to all who knew her, always ready to listen with empathy and offer words of encouragement when they were needed most.
Juhline, will be joining the love of her life Ralph Lingerfelt who passed away on October 14, 2018, after 62 years of marriage. Juhline and Ralph were inseparable. Juhline and Ralph lived their lives rooted in faith, love, and service. Together, they were active members of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Concord Baptist Church in Dahlonega, where they gave their time and hearts to their church family. Beyond the church walls, they poured that same kindness into the community – sharing vegetables from the garden and homemade canned food, always ready to volunteer, lend a hand, or offer encouragement to anyone in need. They will be remembered for their generous hearts, steady faith, and the way they made everyone feel like family. The love and legacy they built together will continue to live on through their children, grandchildren and all whose lives were touched by them.
Survivors include daughters Sonja Lingerfelt Chafin, Judy Lingerfelt Moss (Jacky); grandchildren Megan Chafin Boschert (Ryan), Jesse Chafin, Ashlee Moss Craig (Billy), Jordan Moss (Lydia); great-grandchildren Chafin Carpenter, Jackson Craig, Grayson Craig and Aria Moss.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery with the Reverend Lyman Caldwell and Reverend Kris Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
