Irene Gore

Mrs. Irene Gore passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at North Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville Georgia. She was born on December 28, 1930 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late W.H. Reynolds and Emma Murray.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Steve Brannon will be officiating the service. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends prior to service on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.

Irene Gore was a High School Graduate and worked at Wrigley’s where she later retired. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist and attended Victory Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gore is preceded in death by her parents; husband, B.R. Gore; brothers, Wilburn Reynolds, Edward Reynolds, Leonard Reynolds; sisters, Pauline Jackson, Thelma Reynolds, Nellie Landrum; and grandson, Fletcher A Carter, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Fletcher) Carter of Dawsonville, Ga, Patsy (Jerry) Martin of Cleveland, Ga, Wanda Lance of Clermont, Ga, and Kathy (David) Ellis of Gainesville, Ga; brother-in-law, Jim Jackson of Braselton, Ga; special friend, Edward Gaddis of Gainesville, Ga; grandchildren, Brandon Ellis, Jonathan Ellis, Steven Ellis, Joseph Carter, Matthew Martin, Tara Callahan, Haley McElroy, Catherine Casper, and Hannah Cannaday; 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
