Shawn Edward Payne

Shawn Edward Payne, age 57, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

He was preceded in death by mother, Sandra Waddell. Mr. Payne is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Jennifer Payne; daughters, Amanda (Christo) du Preez of Cumming, GA and Alex Payne of Sugar Hill; granddaughters, Adalynn du Preez and Stella du Preez; father, Harry (Kathy) Patterson, Coshocton, OH; sister, Macy Patterson of Coshocton; brother, Scott Patterson of Coshocton; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Mr. Payne was born on June 6, 1968 is Coshocton, Ohio. He graduated in 1986 from Clarkston High School in Clarkston, GA and served in the Military Reserves. He retired from Kraft Foods in customer service after twenty years. Mr. Payne loved fishing and watching UGA football, the Braves, hockey, and the Chicago Black Hawks. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to their softball games. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 16 from 3:00 p.m. until time for the service.
