Jimmy Smith was born to the late Beatrice Smith and Curfew Smith Sr., in Buford, GA.
Jimmy was a hard worker, he worked for Country Pride as a poultry catcher and a machine operator in New York, New York. He loved basketball, watching sci-fi movies,
western movies and wrestling. He is going to be truly missed.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Curfew Smith Jr., Kenneth Lee Smith Sr., sisters (twin) Janice Smith Granger, Betty Jean Scott, Mary Ruth Smith Warren, Nancy Smith Johnson, Gwendolyn Smith Stephens and Ruby Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Corey Dupree Smith of Orlando, FL, daughter Ushunda Cantrell of Habersham, GA, niece Mika (Rodney) Young of Gainesville, GA, severalgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, other familymembers and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Wimberly Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 between the hours of 3:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Professional Services and Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
