William Lloyd "Will" McConnell

William Lloyd "Will" McConnell, age 84, of Clarkesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Born on November 23, 1940, in Mount Airy, he was a son of the late Paul, Sr. and Emma Inez Cash McConnell. Will is remembered as a loving husband, dad, and papa, who helped those around him in any way that he could. He was a self-employed plumber, who enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Jr., Frank, and Louie McConnell; sisters, Willie Mae McConnell, Betty Jean Underwood, and Lois Estell McConnell.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jo Beth Allen McConnell; son and daughter-in-law, David McConnell (Annette); grandchildren, Katie McConnell and Jacob Simmons; great granddaughter, Iris Simmons; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy Lee McConnell (Julia); sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Loudermilk (JW) and Mable McCallister (Bruce); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are 11 am on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Donald Grizzle officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the funeral home.
