Luther Carton Ramey

Mr. Luther Carlton Ramey, age 84 of Braswell Street, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the home of his son.

A son of the late Wes Ramey and Nancy Blackwell Ramey, he was born May 31, 1941 in Stephens County, Georgia where he had lived all his life.  He was employed with Fieldale for a number of years as a truck driver, and owned Ramey’s Sanitation Service.   He was a member of Tabernacle Holiness Church and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Burton Ramey, daughter, Debora Ramey Sertain and by a brother, D.T. Ramey.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Kay Ramey of Eastanollee, Lamar Ramey, Mark Ramey and Albert Sertain all of Toccoa; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Monday, August 11, 2025, 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ray Bohannon officiating.
