James Rabun "Jimbo" Porter

Mr. James Rabun “Jimbo” Porter, age 66, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025.

Jimbo was born July 21, 1959 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Lewis O. Porter and Jane (Bowden) Porter. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Porter and his sister, Tolura (Porter) Bobo.

Jimbo was a graduate of Gainesville High School. He served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his brother, Henry “Hank” Porter; nieces and nephews, Joy Porter and Scott Porter; Elizabeth and Patrick McCloud, Catherine and Gabe Pierce and Will Bobo.

There are no services scheduled at this time for Jimbo.
