Wanda Jean Woody

Wanda Jean Woody, age 60, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on August 4, 2025. She was born on August 29, 1964, in Dahlonega to the late John Henry Garrett and the late Roberta White Garrett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Alline Shoemake and Brenda McElduff.

She is survived by her son, Jose Woody of Dahlonega; siblings Rhonda Gail Garrett of Dahlonega, Barbara (Charles) Hyatt of South Carolina, Ricky Garrett of South Carolina, Gary (Tammy) Garrett of Dahlonega, Eddie (Brenda) Garrett of Dahlonega, Johnny Garrett of Dahlonega, and Fred Garrett also of Dahlonega; special friend Kyle Garrett; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Wanda will be remembered as a loving and caring person with a great sense of humor. She had a knack for making people laugh and never met a stranger. She had a deep appreciation for rivers, particularly those winding through the hills of Tennessee. Wanda loved listening to music, often reflecting on its melodies while rocking in her rocking chair.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Mr. Charles Hyatt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
