Cindy D. Herndon

Cindy D. Herndon, 67, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at her residence.

Born November 27, 1957 in Toccoa, Georgia to the late J. C. and Barbara Gunn, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 5 years.  She was formerly employed by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations and enjoyed sunflowers, palm trees, and she was an accomplished artist.  Also preceding her in death was her husband, David Herndon.

Surviving are her daughter, Kelli Pruitt, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Chad and Jaime Herndon, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Payten Grace Pruitt, Riley Aaron Herndon, Natalie Blake Herndon; brothers and sisters in law, Richard and Diane Gunn, Toccoa, Ernie and Tammy Gunn, Martin, GA, Tim and Tracey Gunn, Toccoa; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Pastor Zach Dyer will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 until 6.
