Margaret E. Gowder passed away July 25, 2025, following an extended illness.

To celebrate the life of Margaret Elaine Gowder, we invite you to a gathering at the Red Wine Lobby of the Burd Center at Brenau University, 429 Academy St. NE., Gainesville, GA 30501 on August 3, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Although our hearts are heavy, we hope you will join us to share memories and laughter as we remember the joy she brought to our lives. As Elaine was a Brenau alumna, lifelong educator, and promoter of higher education, we ask that in lieu of flowers you consider a donation to Brenau University to honor her legacy.
