Freda Virginia Elliot

Freda Virginia Elliot, age 88, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Freda was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Fred and Virginia Brown Wiessel. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Carl Wiessel and Tina Wiessel Lott. Freda was the Owner of Cleveland Florist. She had a college degree in Horticulture and was a Master Gardener. Freda loved growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed canning her vegetables and entered them in festivals and fairs. She won many 1^st & 2^nd place ribbons for her efforts.  Freda loved to make quilts as well as lap rugs and walker bags for nursing homes. Freda loved spending time and playing with her great grandchildren.

Freda Elliot is survived by her husband, Christopher James Elliot; her children, Lisa Hibler, Austell, GA; Teresa (Ben) Teasley, Marietta, GA; Renae Edge, Bridgeport, CT; and Russell (Wendy) Edge, Cleveland, GA; grandchildren, Brian Graham, Sarina Graham, Amber (Mark) McElwain, and Ashley (Caleb) Sargent; great-grandchildren, RyLey Zazueta, Ella Graham, Connor McElwain, Luke Sargent, Landon Sargent, and Makenna Sargent.

Funeral services will be at Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland, GA. The family will receive friends from 11am to 2pm on August 2, 2025, with the service following at 2:00pm. Please wear fun, colorful clothes; no black please. Private family burial at the Elliot Family Cemetery.
