Michael "Coach Bo" Hassen

Michael "Coach Bo" Hassen, age 66, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on July 28, 2025. He was born on June 26, 1959, in California, to the late Samuel Richard Hassen Sr. and Delores Fulton Hassen. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica Hassen of Dahlonega; grandchildren David Morrison and Daniel (Kenly) Morrison of Washington State, Kheyleb Hassen of Florida, and Shalysia Hassen of Dahlonega; siblings Samuel R. Hassen Jr. of Sevierville, TN, Cheryl Button (Alvin) of Dahlonega, Leslie (Crystal) Hassen of Port Charlotte, FL, Jeffrey (Beth) Hassen of Parrish, FL; nieces and nephews Cheri (Christopher) Tritt, Jennifer Spivey, Leslie (Krystal) Hassen Jr., Christopher (Lin) Hassen, Jeffrey Hassen Jr., Rachel (Guillermo) Arguelles, and Amanda Hassen.

Football was his passion. He coached for 6 years with the Port Charlotte Bandits, where he played a pivotal role in leading the team to a National Championship victory. Beyond sports, he cherished cooking and maintaining his yard, which were always impeccably kept. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he remained a devoted "momma's boy" until his final moments. Per his wishes, he will be cremated, with services to be held by the family at a later date.
