Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Shedrick Curtis Wilson, age 82 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, July 27, 2025. Mr. Wilson was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late Sheddie and Mary Sue Brooks Wilson. Mr. Wilson was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired truck driver with Colonial Poultry and Wayne Poultry after sixty-five years of dedicated service. Mr. Wilson was known for his work ethic and his love for fishing, hunting and the restoration of antique cars. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson is preceded by brothers, Laprather and Larry Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jones Wilson of Jefferson. Daughter, Lisa Baxter of Pendergrass. Son, Timothy Wilson (Karen) of Jefferson. Step-son, Andy Everett of Jefferson. Grandchildren; Terry “Scoot” Baxter, and Nicholas “Worm” Baxter. Five great grandchildren. Sister, Jo Dowdy of Nicholson. Brothers, Emory Wilson of Nicholson, Jimmy Wilson (Shirley) of Nicholson and Fulton Wilson (Margie) of Commerce.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from Evans Memory Gardens with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
