Russell Lamar “Rusty” Parrish

Russell Lamar “Rusty” Parrish, age 53, of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

          Rusty was born March 31, 1972, Georgia. Rusty, grew up in Decatur, Georgia, where he and his twin brother were fondly known as “Dusty and Rusty.” They always looked after each other. Rusty attended Shamrock High School.

The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel.

          Rusty was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Darlene (Wilkins) Parrish. He is survived by his father, Robert Franklin “Frankie” Parrish (Shirley) of Gainesville, Georgia; daughter, Kara Lay (David) and granddaughter, Ohanna Shamshoian of Fallbrook, California; sister, Renee Parrish (Larry) of Cumming, Georgia; brother Robert “Robbie” Parrish of Cumming, Georgia; twin brother, Dustin “Dusty” Parrish (Felicia) of Foley, Alabama; stepbrother, David King (Kristi) of Flowery Branch, Georgia; stepsister, Mary Shuman-Fulton (Chris) of Monroe, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

          Flowers will be accepted or for those who wish, plant a tree in memory of Russell Lamar Parrish or a charity of your choice.
