Mary Catherine "Cathy" Pridgen Greer

Mary Catherine "Cathy" Pridgen Greer, 70 of Dawsonville formerly of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday July 23, 2025.

Cathy was a member of Chestnut Mountain Church in Flowery Branch, GA, a volunteer for the Gainesville Junior Service League, a devout sister of the Delta Zeta Sorority, 13th Chapter. Cathy was a loving daughter, sister, mother, teacher, and friend. She was a lady of many talents. She was a gifted music teacher and proudly carried a 2nd identity as the community's "Hairbow Lady".

Cathy is preceded in death by her husband, John Richardson Greer, parents, Carl Eugene "Pete" and Janie Carolyn Jones Pridgen, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Furman Greer and Jane Greer.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Carol Ann Hanes, and Jody Lynn Bearden and Jeremy Bearden, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Peggy Pridgen, mother-in-law, Ann Greer, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gina (David) Carlton, Julie (Mark) Byars, Becky (Matt) Nix, and Mary Ann (Will) Hudson, in addition to many nieces, nephews and loving family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday July 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alta Vista Cemetery, with her nephews, Pastor Chandler Pridgen and Pastor Jamie Pridgen officiating. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
