Lyman F. Burrell, age 98, of Dacula, GA, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Maude Parker Burrell; son-in-law, Doug Hall; parents, Carl and Jura Foster Burrell; four brothers. Mr. Burrell is survived by his children, Sam Burrell of Dacula, GA, Marilyn Hall of Buford, GA, Jeff Burrell of Dacula, GA, David (Jing) Burrell of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Shannon Doty, Greg Burrell, Troy Hall, Trent Hall, Rachell Burrell, Ethan Burrell; great-grandchildren, Mareau Hall, Thaura Hall; sister-in-law, Nancy Burrell of Lilburn, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Burrell was born September 27, 1926 in Clayton, GA. He resided in Dacula, GA for the past 33 years. Mr. Burrell was a 1944 graduate of Rabun County High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served for 3 years. Mr. Burrell was Co-Owner of Burrell-Coffey Motors for 34 years.
Mr. Burrell was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Buford and the Upper Room Sunday School Class. Mr. Burrell was an avid golfer, a game he loved. He also was an avid Gardner and loved working outside. Mr. Burrell was an active member of Abundant Life Fellowship for many years. He was a Deacon at White Oak Hills Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, GA before moving to First Baptist Church, Buford, GA.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA, with Rev. Andy Hall Officiating.
