Lori Elkins Cook, 56, of Valley, AL, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2025 after a hard-fought battle.
She was born on April 28, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas Elkins and Carla Holton-Dean of Ravenswood, West Virginia. Lori was preceded in death by her infant sister, Lisa Marie.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Cook: and her sons Rush Davenport and Chris Davenport Dawsonville, GA. She is also survived by her three sisters: Pamela Scritchfield (Jeff) of Ravenswood, WV; Tammy Burgess (Ray) of Albany, OH; and Rebecca Martin (Doug) of Sutton, WV. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She also leaves behind her cherished fur babies, Tilly Sue and Bodie Lee, who brought her so much comfort and joy throughout the years.
Lori will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the lasting impact she had on all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 1:00pm, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm, at Memorial Park Funeral Home-Main Campus.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Loving Memory of Lori.
