Charles Wayne Elliott, 88 of Gainesville died Friday July 11, 2025, at his residence.
A lifelong resident of Gainesville, Mr. Elliott was the son of the late Charles Haspy and Elsie Mae Hanes Elliott. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School, and after graduation he served in the United States Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, Mr. Elliott attended and graduated from Southern Tech. Mr. Elliott worked for Diebold Corporation until he retired.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Margie and John Smith, nephews, Kelly Elliott, Hart Smith and Tyler Smith.
Mr. Elliott is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, George Elliott and Lynn Elliott.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday July 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alta Vista Cemetery. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.
