William Paul Anderson

William Paul Anderson was born on May 14, 1940 and lived a good life. He went to meet his Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2025. 

Raised on a farm in Mt. Airy, Georgia he learned the value of hard work.  Growing up with 13 siblings was always and adventure.  He graduated from South Habersham High School in 1958. 

He enjoyed a long career in the trucking industry working for Refrigerated Transport, INC in Forest Park, Georgia and then RWH Trucking in Oakwood, Georgia.  He retired in 2012 and enjoyed retirement learning how to use a scroll saw to make items for family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruby D. Anderson of Mt. Airy, Brothers, Joe of Norcross, GA; John of Toccoa, GA; Simon of Mt. Airy, GA; Sisters, Kathleen Anderson of Mt. Airy, GA; Lou Ellen Rich of Cornelia, GA; Martha Manniko of Demorest, GA; and Judy Tanksley of Cornelia, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Theresa Maxwell Anderson of Flowery Branch, Georgia, sons: Charles C. Anderson and wife Dawn of Woodstock, Georgia; William R. Anderson and wife Kelly of Auburn , Georgia and one grandchild, Griffin R. Anderson of Auburn, Georgia.   Brothers, James of Tucker GA, Harold of Alto, GA, David (Emily) of Cornelia, GA, Daniel (Joy) of Mt. Airy, Ga. One sister, Lee Thompson of Cumming, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews

Services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Bill Coates. Burial will follow in Broadlawn Cemetery in Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.
