Linda Rae Smith Kinne

Obituary Date: Friday, June 27, 2025

Linda Rae Smith Kinne, 80, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was born in El Centro, California and grew up in Hialeah, Florida where she met the love of her life and married, Ray McAuley Kinne. Together they had two children.

Linda was truly one of a kind—funny, sassy, feisty, stubborn, and gloriously unfiltered. She lived life on her own terms, never afraid to speak her mind, and always able to make people laugh, even in the hardest moments. Her sharp wit and spirited personality were matched only by her deep love for her family and her loyal dog, Bogey, who was her constant sidekick and companion.

Though her health limited her in recent years, Linda’s vibrant personality never faded. She still found ways to bring joy, humor, and a little bit of sass into every day. Her presence filled the room—whether she was telling a story, sharing her unfiltered opinions, or simply being her fiercely authentic self. She may not have been able to cook like she once loved to, but she continued to nourish her family with love, laughter, and unforgettable zingers.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Norma Smith and her nephew, William (Bill) Ralph Mancusi.  She is survived by her husband, Ray Kinne; her daughters, Lisa Griffith (Troy) and Jill Kinne; her grandchildren, Rayanne, Rhett, and Lilly Griffith, and Jett Kinne; her sister, Nancy Mancusi; and her nieces, Tracey Kelley and Kristi McMinn. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A service and celebration of life will be held on July 20, 2025 at 3:00pm at Cross of Life Lutheran Church located at 1000 Hembree Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076.

Her laughter, spirit, and unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
