David “Dave” Allen Miles

Ret. Petty Officer 1^st Class David “Dave” Allen Miles, age 62, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clifford and Sandra Miles; father-in-law, Jim Braswell.  Mr. Miles is  survived by his wife of 22 years, Kelly Braswell Miles of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Zachary (Meagan) Braswell of Monroe, GA; daughter, Misa Ruffino of Everett, WA; brothers, Clifford (Vonda) Miles of Chattanooga, TN, John Miles of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Catherine (Allen) Caddell of Hinesville, GA, Michelle Miles of Chattanooga, TN; mother-in-law, Judy Braswell of Buford, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, LuAnn and Paul Bryant of Hanceville, AL; five grandchildren, Amanda Ruffino, Gabbie Ruffino, Patrick Ruffino, Isabelle Braswell, Jep Braswell.

Mr. Miles was born December 12, 1962 in Charleston, SC.  He was a retired Navy veteran with 22 years of service.  He also served 2 years in the U.S. Army.  Mr. Miles was employed with Emory University Healthcare in Decatur, GA as an I.T. Technician for the past 18 years.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Miles enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and loved traveling. 

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Bobby Linkous officiating.  Interment and Graveside Service with Military Honors, will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
