Susan Doman Topping was born on September 25, 1952 and passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 72. Sue lived a life full of love, joy, and devotion to those around her. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Topping; father, Tom Doman, Sr., brother Tom Doman, Jr., and sister-in-law, Dell Doman. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Bravo of St. Simons Island, GA, and Joyce (Manny) Varela of Grayson, GA; grandchildren, Maria, Sophia & Alex Bravo, Carley & Edmund Varela; mother, Shirley Doman; siblings, Kathy Doman, Michael (Melanie) Doman, Pam (Jim) Barnhart, and Patty (Brandon) Brummel and an abundance of nieces and nephews whom she adored and a host of other relatives.
Sue had a big heart and was warmly embraced by everyone she met. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of belonging to friends and strangers alike. Her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life—her love for them was boundless and unwavering.
During her high school years, Sue was active in many pursuits. She served as cheerleader captain, member of the drama club, chorus, drill team, and homecoming court. Her love for her classmates continued long after graduation, as she joyfully organized class reunions—most recently their 50th.
Professionally, Sue worked in marketing at Bank of America before pursuing a successful career in real estate. Her work reflected her natural ability to connect with others.
Sue's true gift was hospitality. She found great joy in opening her home to family and friends, hosting cherished holiday gatherings, an annual Christmas lady’s tea and countless celebrations for her children and grandchildren. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and love.
Sue will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
