Shirley Ann (Nix) Brown

Mrs. Shirley Ann (Nix) Brown, age 80, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday, July 10, 2025, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lumpkin County. Pastor Frank Zimmerman will officiate.

She was born October 1, 1944 in White County, the daughter of the late John H. Nix and Eunice (Winkler) Nix.          

Shirley was preceded in death by one grandchild, Brannon Page; one brother, John W. (Buddy) Nix; and three sisters, Helena Harris, Vernice Page and Geneva Cheek.

She was retired from Coronet Carpets. She enjoyed making soaps and candles, tending to her roses and feeding birds. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a devoted Georgia Bulldog fan.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 27 years, Charles H. Brown and four daughters, Michelle Page (Lewis) of Gainesville; Lisa Gibson (Tommy) of Dahlonega, Angie Brown of North Augusta, SC and Vicki Morell (Miguel) of Chestnut Mountain; nine grandchildren, Jerry Page, Amy Landrum, Havolynne Saxon, Amanda McNeil (Roland), Daniel Broome, Paige Bowman (Christian), Ryan Broome, Cris Morell and Jessica Morell; and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her including her dog, Toby.
