Mitchell Scott Aiken, 61, of Gillsville, Georgia, entered into his heavenly home on July 3rd, 2025. Born on March 1st, 1964 in Gainesville, Georgia, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Everyone who knew Mitch knew he gave all he had into whatever he was doing. He was hard-working and dedicated. Mitch spent 30 years serving as a Fireman for the Gainesville Fire Department, retiring as C-Shift’s Battalion Chief. He never turned down the opportunity to help someone else. Mitch loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He especially enjoyed hunting with family and friends and loved being “Bapa” to his six grandsons.
Mitch was preceded in death by his father, Robert Melville Aiken.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Tyner Aiken, loving wife, Cree Aiken, son, Brent Aiken, daughter and son-in-law, Sydney Segars (Zach), son and daughter-in-law, Sawyer Wilson (Brittany), grandchildren, River, Jack, Redding, Camp, Colter, and Aimes, sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen Rylee (Mitchell) and Vickie Dowdy (Andrew), nieces and nephews, Brandy Hewell, Austin Saxon, Kasey Rylee and Kody Rylee, and many, many friends.
