He was born May 14, 1958, to the late Lewis and Mayron (Brady) Ferguson.
Jeffery worked at Mar-Jac Poultry Company as a Quality Control Line Leader, where he was thought very highly of by his co-workers.
He always had a way to make people smile and feel good and was always willing to talk to anyone who needed to hear about his Savior Jesus Christ and how he was saved in hopes that he could bring someone else to know God and his Savior.
Jeffery was known as the “Happy Chicken Loving Day” man! Jeffery always greeted people either in person or by text “Happy Chicken Loving Day and then what ever day of the week it was.” For Jeffery the GREATEST Happy Chicken Loving Day came Friday, June 27th, 2025 in the afternoon when he was able to say to Jesus, “Happy Chicken Loving Friday. I’m home!”
Jeffery was survived by Michael and Tonita (Toni) Buffington, Chrisondra, Billy and Mason Ransom, Whitney, Will, Skylar and Emmitt Chapman, Haylee and Ethan Carder, Matthew Gee, Andrew, Cara, Lyla, and Grant Ferguson and Rusty Fuller.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Georgia Hospice for all their loving care and respect for Jeffery and us. Thank you, Megan Molway, Eboni Teasley and Breana Burkett. Thank you to Jim Molway for your care and kindness. And to Joy and Danny Allen for all your love and support.
