Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Lelia Mae and Clyde Forsythe she graduated from Rock Hill high school. She was retired from Avon cosmetics after 25 years.
Nellie had a passion for writing that gave hope, encouragement and blessing in the many poems she wrote for family and friends. Her short story books brought laughter to kids and would often be based on  family or friends.
The love and devotion she had for her children which included many that called her Mom that she loved as her own was unsurpassed.
Known for her potato salad and homemade cupcakes family dinners were always fun with at least two or three trying to sneak cupcakes before hand.  She always made plenty of extras.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris W Hall Sr, sons Morris W Hall Jr, Timothy Wayne Hall and her sister Virginia Ann Freeman.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories son Calvin Hall-Michael Jarrard of Toccoa, Ga daughters Edith Morgan-Mark of Toccoa, Ga, Nellie Hall-Alex Isaac of Atlanta, Ga, Angela Odom of Rock Hill, Sc, Juanita Auraulanio of Lake Wylie, Sc and Yvette Freeman of Fort Mill, Sc grand children and great grandchildren.
Nellie shared a bond with her two sons in law Michael Jarrard and Mark Morgan that she would always say they were more like her sons than sons -n -law.  That is a true testament of her love.

The Family would like to thank our sister Edith Morgan for her care and devotion to Mom.

Nellie’s wishes were to cremated and no formal services planned.
She would prefer all that knew her to remember her in the words, she said, rather spoken or written.
