Elliott Creel Brown

Elliott Creel Brown, age 94, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Caverly; parents, Elliott Creel and Ione Ferguson Brown; brother, Jack Brown Sr.; sister, Betty Holbrook. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Peggy Bandy Brown of Suwanee; sons, Gary (Terri) Caverly of Maryland, Mark Brown of Dahlonega, GA, Scott (Janet) Caverly of Smiths AL, Jeffrey (Beth) Brown of Loganville, GA; daughters-in-law, Fay Caverly, Vicky Stallings; seven grandchildren, Tina, Mary, Kristeena, Savannah, Joshua, Kayla, Dustin; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Marilyn) Brown Jr. of Lake Jackson, GA; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown was born on January 31, 1931 to Elliott Creel and Ione Ferguson Brown in Macon, GA. He graduated from Harding High School in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the US Air Force. He served in the US Air Force as an Intercept Air Craft Controller conducting Combat Command and Control duties in the Republic of Korea’s Territorial Air Space during 1950-1952. After the electronic apprenticeship training at Robins Air Force Base and courses in Macon Vocational, he enrolled at Georgia Tech graduating in 1960 with a Bachelor’s Degree. He also served in the Georgia National Guard during the Viet Nam War. Elliott’s career was with the Social Security Administration as a management analyst. He was mostly in Atlanta with five years in Rome, GA and nine years in Baltimore, MD where he met the love of his life for fifty-seven years, Peggy Bandy Brown. He was member of North Metro Baptist Church, Hoschton, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Cox and Mr. Terry Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m., time of the Funeral Service.
