Mr. David Kenneth Dougherty, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born in February 27, 1942, to the late James Thomas Dougherty, and Lola Evalou Grant Dougherty, in Gainesville, Georgia. He had retired from Mars Wrigley, after 22 years of employment, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Scott Waters will officiate the service, interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday as well, June 28, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM, at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Dougherty is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Dougherty.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Shope Dougherty; son, Tony Dougherty and wife Susan; grandchildren, Heather and Jack Powell, of Gainesville, Georgia, Rebecca and Matt Jones, of Huston, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Aolani Powell, Jesse Jones, Lorelai Jones, Cason Jones, and Colton Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Samuel Harris, of Gainesville, Georgia.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
