Mrs. Muriel May Moore (King), 83, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at W.R. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Clermont, Georgia.
A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleveland, Georgia. Pastor Spencer Anderson will officiate the service.
Muriel was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, where her grandfather was one of the founding pioneers of the city. A graduate of St. Petersburg High School, she faithfully supported her husband, Lyle Vernon Moore, throughout his 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a Submariner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Dorothy King, and six siblings: Owen, Jimmy, Harold, Helen, Celia, and Ruth.
Muriel is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lyle Vernon Moore, and their devoted family: Children (and spouses): Larry V. Moore (Barbara), Marilyn (Moore) Delgado (Mario E. Delgado), Leonard “Lee” V. Moore (Tammy J.), Margret “Mignon” (Moore) Hooper (Danny); Grandchildren (and spouses): Roger A. Spradley (Joanna), Ryan A. Spradley (Tammara), Nicholas L. Moore (Elizabeth), Jonathan L. Moore (Tonya), Casey Jones (Adriane), Dalton H. Hooper. Great-Grandchildren: Jarrod Spradley, James Hoff, Derick Spradley, Ayden Spradley, Victoria Spradley-Young, McKenzie Spradley, Ryder A. Spradley, Rhyse A. Spradley, Dorsey Claire Jones, Charlotte Moore; Great-Great-Grandchildren: Tyler Alexander Kanott, Ezra Lazarus Sayvihane.
