Barbara Ann Means

Obituary Date: Monday, June 16, 2025

Mrs. Barbara Ann Stewart Means, age 91 of Toccoa passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 at The Clary Center in Toccoa.

 

A daughter of the late Julian Esley Stewart and Myrtie Lois Bishop Stewart, she was born November 21, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia.  She retired from the family business, Means Exterminating Company as the Office Manager. Prior to her work and retirement with Means Exterminating, she was a stay at home mom and the children were truly blessed to have their mom at home.  She was a member of First Methodist Church Toccoa and the Trogdon Sunday School Class. “Mama was one of a kind and we are pretty sure God broke the mold after he made her.”

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Michael “Mike” Means, former husband, Samuel Oscar Means and three sisters, Virginia Johnson, Ceil and Ruby.

 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Rick Rodriguez of Mt., Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Kelly Means of Toccoa; granddaughter, Stacey and her husband,  Charles of Toccoa; grandson, Brandon and his wife Kassi of Toccoa; granddaughters,  Chasity of Toccoa, Nikki of Atlanta and Katherine of Buford; great-granddaughters, Austyn and Avery; great-grandsons, Dax, Gatlin, Gavin and Everett.

 

Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 6 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Charles Wright officiating.
