Betty Lou Floyd

Betty Lou Floyd, age 76, passed away June 16, 2025, in Gainesville, Georgia. She was born to the late Edward Lee Howell and Lillie Mae Loggins, on May 22, 1949.

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, in the Little Chapel at Free Chapel Church, in Gainesville, Georgia. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the funeral, also at Free Chapel Church. Interment will be in Memorial park Cemetery.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Doris Linkous and Julia Nation; and brothers Donald Howell and Dillard Howell. She had been a member at Free Chapel for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Lamar Floyd; son Shane Floyd (Kristen); step-daughter and her husband, Kim Jackson (Stanley); as well as numerous brothers, Bobby Howell, Buford Howell, Eddie Howell, Freddie Howell and Waymon Howell; and sisters, Jeanette Roberts, Geneva Floyd and Barbara Coker. She is also remembered by many grandchildren, Kirste Floyd, Kasside Heckman, Kaleb Floyd, Karlee Floyd, Ashley Cornett, Josh Jackson and Haley Bennett; and great-grandchildren, Anniston Jackson, Adalyn Jackson, Emorie Bennett, Grady Bennett, Abram Bennett and Beckham Cornett.
