Ruby E. Marshall

Ruby E. Marshall, known fondly as "Tootsy," passed away on June 14, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1932, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Edwin Entrekin and Reaby Cooper Entrekin. Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bascom Marshall, her children Bascom "Cookie" Marshall, Coy Marshall, and Bridgett Quick, as well as three siblings.

She is survived by her children, Ruby Bruhl (Kenny) of Dahlonega and Patrick Marshall of Arizona; grandchildren Jason (Shilo) Bruhl of Louisiana, Rebecca (Clark) Pierce of Dahlonega, James (Stephanie) Bruhl of Cumming, Andrew Marshall of Tennessee, Jordan Marshall of Arizona, Stephen Marshall of Montana, Blair (Megan) Marshall of Louisiana, Scott Marshall of Texas, Kirk Marshall of Louisiana, and Shawn Marshall of Louisiana. Ruby also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives who cherished her deeply.

Ruby was a vibrant and outgoing person who loved connecting with others. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a dedicated member of Northlake Baptist Church. She shared her musical talents by playing the piano and teaching Sunday school for many years. Above all, Ruby cherished her family, and her role as a loving mother and grandmother brought her immense joy. She was known for her selfless service to others, always extending a helping hand to those in need. Ruby's warm spirit and kindness endeared her to everyone she met, and she formed many lasting friendships during her time at Dahlonega Assisted Living.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the cemetery of Antioch Baptist Church, where Ruby will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bascom. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northlake Baptist Church building fund in memory of Mrs. Marshall.
