Willie Mae Westbrooks Pugh

Willie Mae Westbrooks Pugh, 90, of Buford, GA, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 at 12 Noon at Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Buford. Rev. Frankie Southerland, Rev. Kenny Kuykendall, and Rev. Heath Granthum will officiate. Mrs. Pugh will lie in state at the church from 11:00 AM until Noon. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel.

Willie was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Lee Pugh, Jr.; parents, Wiley and Irene Westbrooks; siblings, Kyle Westbrooks, Hoy Westbrooks, JW Westbrooks, Christa Bruce, Ruby Martin, Clara Higgins, Kathleen Crowe, Mardell Hosch, Virginia Pruitt. She is survived by her sons, Keith Pugh (Sandy) of Toccoa, Kent Pugh (Debbie) of Buford, Scott Pugh of Buford; grandchildren, Heather Kuykendall (Kenny), Lindsay Granthum (Heath), Jonathan Pugh (Lindsay), Brandy Brownlee (Shane), Kyle Pugh (Amanda), Matthew Pugh, Brittany Simmons (Robby), Adam Pugh; 17 great grandchildren; caretaker, Linda Swansey.

Willie was a lifelong resident of Buford and a homemaker, well known for her chocolate split layer cake. She was a faithful member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was their oldest living member. Willie sang with the Silver Tones Senior Adult Choir. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be missed by everyone.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Nurse Millie for their kindness and loving care of Willie.
