Obituary Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2025

In Loving Memory of Ydora Sue Johnson (1938-2025)
Flowery Branch, Georgia

Ydora Sue Johnson, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Born on August 13, 1938, to the late John Clinton Moore and Sue Lee Fog Moore, Sue’s life was a testament to faith, family, and love.

Sue’s warmth and generosity illuminated the lives of all who knew her. She had an unwavering faith and was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church of Gainesville, where she shared the blessings of God and uplifted those around her. A woman of quiet strength and gentle humor, Sue found joy in simple moments—cherishing time at home and treasuring visits to North Carolina to be with her family.

She is survived by her children: Angela Smith of Canton, NC; Teresa Macias of Jasper, GA; and Johnny Smith of Flowery Branch, GA; her brother, George W. Moore of Cumming, GA; and her nephew, Clinton Settle (Katie) of Mooresville, NC.

Sue’s legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Robert Swartz of Georgetown, SC; Steven Swartz of Canton, NC; Morgan Goodwin (Nolan) of Canton, NC; Tosha Burrows of Jasper, GA; Christopher Macias of Horseshoe, NC; Erica Sue Macias of Sandy Springs, GA; Brett Smith (Shannon) of Powell, TN; Kurt Smith (Priscilla) of Powell, TN; Kyle Smith (Alex) of Powell, TN; Brandon Smith of Madisonville, TN; and Courtney Smith of Madisonville, TN.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Gemma, Benson, Skylar, Sawyer, Natalia, Asher, Andrew, Japheth, Lucas, and Amelia, and nieces: McKinleigh, Charleigh, and Finn.

Sue now joins in eternal rest those who preceded her in passing: her parents, John Clinton Moore and Sue Lee Fog Moore; Bobby G. Smith; Robert F. Smith; Leighann Settle; Jerry Settle; Debbie Lynn Settle; Tim Smith; and Daniel Macias.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to gather in remembrance on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Little & Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 12:30 PM, with Pastor Earl Pirkle presiding. Following the service, Sue will be laid to rest at Alta Vista Cemetery, where a graveside celebration of life will honor her memory.

Sue’s life was a beautiful reflection of kindness and devotion. May her love continue to shine through the lives she touched, and may her memory be a blessing to all.
