Benjamin Michael Parks, age 71, of Gainesville, Georgia, a beloved son, father, brother and friend, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, surrounded by his family.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 and 8:00 pm Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mike was born June 26, 1953 in Gainesville, Georgia. He is the son of Curtis Parks, Jr. and the late Helen Marie (Whitmire) Parks. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Parks.
He attended Gainesville High School. Mike was a faithful member of Wahoo Baptist Church, where he was a very active member. Mike was the owner and operator of Parks Grading and Hauling. He loved to work. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, working in his yard and spending time with his family.
Mike had a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was a faithful friend and had a forgiving heart. His daughter Jennifer said she could always talk to her daddy about anything and he was there any time and was very compassionate.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Wheeler and Jessica (Mike) Segars, both of Gainesville; father, Curtis Parks, Jr.; grandchildren, Alex (Meghan) Thomas, Caleb Chiles (Angel Humpries, fiancé), Mason Chiles (Bella Corrynn) and Madelyn Hill; sister, Angela Parks-Cain and his faithful companion (Sugar); nieces, Ashley David (David) and nephew, Parks Barnard.
