Mary Jett

Mary Jett, 97, of Cleveland, GA passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born May 26, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Luther and Dora Turner, she lived in Dawson County over 30 years before moving to Cleveland 19 years ago.  Mary was formerly employed at Sweet-Orr and enjoyed sewing and cooking.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “Ed” Jett; son, Steven Jett; and siblings, Barry and Fairy Turner, Martha and Bruce Cain, Joe and Alice Turner, Herbert and Lona Turner, Carlton and Burnett Turner, Maggie and John Winstead.

Surviving are her son and daughters in law, Kenneth and Faye Jett, Dawsonville, Linda Jett, Clermont; grandchildren, Mark Jett, Tammy and David Krauss, Adam and Sarah Jones; great grandchildren, David Jett, Sharon Jett; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 3 o’clock at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Joel Turner will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until the service hour.
