Kenneth David Butler

November 8, 1965 – June 8, 2025

Kenneth David Butler, 59, of Hoschton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born on November 8, 1965, in East Point, Georgia, Kenneth was a beloved son, brother, husband, dad, and Papa whose presence brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone blessed to know him. He was the cherished son of the late Thomas Garvin Butler Sr. and Carlene King Butler, the brother of Thomas (Tommy) Garvin Butler Jr., and uncle to Trinity Carlene Butler.

He was the devoted son-in-law of the late Wilbur (Buddy) Eugene Webster Jr. and Amanda (Mandy) Lee Cotton Webster, and brother-in-law to Wilbur (Trey) Eugene Webster III.

Kenneth shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Dorothy Lynn Butler. Together they built a life grounded in faith, love, and devotion to family. He was the proud father of Jonathan David Butler and his wife Katelyn, and of Katelyn Danielle Crook and her husband Sean. His greatest joy came from being “Papa” to his treasured grandchildren: Riden Claire Butler, Kember Leigh Crook, and Raegan Rose Butler. They were truly the light of his life.

Those who knew Kenneth will remember his silly sense of humor, strong opinions, and stubborn streak—but above all, his deep and unwavering love for his family. He was a hard worker through and through, always ready to lend a hand or shoulder any burden for those he loved. He had a way of making people laugh, making them feel heard, and making sure they never doubted how much he cared.

A Quiet Goodbye

In keeping with Kenneth’s wishes, there will be a private viewing for immediate family, and no formal funeral service will be held.

Though his time with us feels far too short, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, held in the arms of his Savior. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Kenneth’s legacy is a lasting one—rooted in faith, built on hard work, and carried forward in the lives of his children and grandchildren, whom he loved with all his heart.
