Theresa (Teri) Jean MacMaster

Obituary Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025

Theresa (Teri) Jean MacMaster, 78, of Cleveland, Ga, passed away on June 7, 2025.

Teri was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James William MacMaster, and her sister Michelle Breeden.

Teri was born in Lemmon, SD.  She married her High School sweetheart, and they raised two children in Massachusetts, before moving to Georgia in 1982.  In addition to caring for her children, often alone while Jim traveled for work, Teri worked full time as a legal secretary and later in Human Resources at Moreno Press.  She was an Alum of Rivier University.

In 1986, Teri and Jim relocated to California and traveled the world while Jim worked for Yokohama Tire.  After retiring, they traveled across the United States for a year in their RV with their cat and dog, before settling in Maysville, Ga.  They became active in Church, volunteering at the local food and clothing pantry together.  After suffering a devastating house fire, they rebuilt and enjoyed many years in their dream home, with their beloved pets, Ella, Shorty and Luke.  After Jim’s sudden passing in June 2022, Teri has suffered not only a broken heart, but many physical ailments and surgeries.  We are comforted knowing that she is now pain free and reunited with Jim.

Teri is survived by her son Timothy (Pamela), daughter Mia; granddaughter Jordan (Cameron), Grandson Tyler; great-granddaughters Scout and Andi; sisters Dottie, Helen and Avis; and their beloved cat Luke.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian in Gainesville, Ga on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00am.
