Billie Carol Cantrell

Billie Carol Cantrell, age 83, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on June 8, 2025. She was born on January 3, 1942, in White County to William "Will" Cantrell and Leila Garrett Cantrell. 

Billie was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and a proud graduate of Lumpkin County High School, Class of 1960. She dedicated 30 years of her career to Dahlonega Egg and Equipment. Billie was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Gertrude (George) Avery, Charles (Beth) Cantrell, Cammie (Pat) Cantrell, and Ann Rainwater; as well as sister-in-law Ruth Cantrell.

Billie is survived by her brother, James Cantrell; nieces and nephews, Tom and JoAnn Rainey, Stacy and Tammy Avery, Kathy Dunlap, Mike Cantrell, Jimmy Cantrell, Susan Cantrell-Ledford, Doug and Jane Cantrell, Nancy Gail and Allen Hyatt, Dana and Neville Walker, Camille Cantrell, Nicki and Gary Chester, Dee Cantrell, Kenny and Cindy Rainwater, Luan Rainwater, and Gina Eaton. Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Stacy Avery and the Rev. Jason Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
