Garrett Bradley Lego

Mr. Garrett Bradley Lego, age 45, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

Garrett was born on October 10, 1979, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Bradley Lego and Wendy Garrett Lego. He was a dedicated educator, currently working as an English teacher at Forsyth Central High School. Garrett cared deeply about his students and always aimed to make a positive impact.

A proud graduate and lifelong fan of the University of Iowa, Garrett loved watching Hawkeye football, basketball, and wrestling. He was an aspiring screenwriter who found joy in music—especially the Grateful Dead—golf, gold exploration TV programs, and his Birkenstock sandals.

Garrett will be remembered for his kind, gentle nature, big heart, and loyalty to his friends and family. He was the kind of person who would do anything for those he loved and was always present when others needed him. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and cared for.

He is survived by his father, Bradley Lego; his sister and brother-in-law, Caroline (Carrie) Lego Muñoz and José Muñoz of Flowery Branch, Georgia; and his beloved nephews, Máximo Cristóbal Muñoz and Sebastián Garrett Muñoz. He also leaves behind many cherished friends, including the Moran and Treinen families, as well as many dear friends and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wendy Garrett Lego.

A memorial service to celebrate Garrett’s life will be held in Sioux City, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lego Fund for Teachers Grants, which provides book grants to first-year teachers in Sioux City.
