Steven Randolph “Randy” Townsend

Mr. Steven Randolph “Randy” Townsend, age 67, of Jefferson, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Braselton Funeral Home, followed by a service at 6:00 PM in the Braselton Funeral Home Flower Garden.

Randy was born on September 17, 1957, in San Diego, California, to Mr. Skip Townsend and the late Mrs. Evelyn Wells Townsend. A talented architect by profession, Randy brought creativity and care into every aspect of his life. His love for painting and woodworking reflected his deep appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and detail.

Randy is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Suzanne Townsend; his daughter, Tara Allen (John); his son, Luke Townsend (Hollie); and his cherished grandchildren, Sophie, Esmay, and Jak. He is also survived by his father, Skip Townsend; and his sisters, Debbie Crowe and DeeAnn Medlin. Over the past five years, Randy was a dedicated caregiver to his father, exemplifying his selflessness and deep family devotion.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Wells Townsend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Randy’s honor to Clemson Athletics Annual Fund, a cause close to his heart.

Randy will be remembered for his artistic spirit, his dedication to family, and the love and strength he gave to those around him.
