Elizabeth Hylton Eubanks

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Hylton Eubanks, age 88 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Saturday, May 31, 2025. Mrs. Eubanks was born in Roanoake, Virginia the daughter of the late Guy and Weta Sledd Hylton. Mrs. Eubanks had been a member of the Commerce Church of God for sixty-five years and was retired from Hi-Tec Machining Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eubanks is preceded in death by her husband Rufus Lee Eubanks, daughter Deborah Blalock, and grandsons, Thomas Blalock and Jason Blalock.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Looney (Dan) of Jefferson. Two sons; Jesse “Pete” Harkins (Patty) of Lavonia, and Paul Harkins (Anastasia) of Greenville, South Carolina. Nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from the Commerce Church of God (Crossroads Worship Center), 365 Highway 441 South, Commerce, Georgia, with Reverend Gary Thompson officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home.
