Mrs. Pauline Bryan, age 92, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025.
Mrs. Bryan was born in White County to the late Robert and Lilly Shelnut Pruitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bryan; grandsons, Billy Cates and Robbie Pruitt; son-in-law, Bill Cates Sr.; daughter-in-law, Beverly Pruitt; brother, Lonnie Pruitt; sisters, Lois Gooch, Mamie Sutton, and Essie Gilstrap. She worked for Peachtree Doors during her career and was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Mitchell Pruitt, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Tina Bryan, Cleveland; daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Mark Maples, Clermont and Debbie and John McCay, Demorest; daughter, Judy Cates, Deltona, FL; sister, Jeanette Barnes, Jefferson; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Willie Pruitt, Cleveland; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She showed love and compassion to everyone, and everyone knew her as “Grandma.”
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 Noon Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Wilkes and Rev. Matt Pruitt will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday, June 2, 2025, at the funeral home and Tuesday prior to the service.
