Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the passing of Mrs. Amy Husfeld Cicciarelli from Commerce, Georgia. Amy passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26th 2025 after an incredibly courageous 8½ year battle with cancer. In her final moments, she was wrapped in the love of her family surrounded by her side.
Amy Cicciarelli was born in Brenham, Texas, the daughter of Glenn and Jane Husfeld of Commerce, Georgia. She attended North Gwinnett High School in Suwannee, Georgia and graduated from The University of Georgia College of Family & Consumer Sciences earning a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in 1997.
Amy lived in Colorado for over two decades, working initially as a registered dietitian in Vail. She later discovered her passion for empowering young girls through her work with the Girl Scouts of Colorado where she held the position as a Training Specialist for Volunteers for several years. Upon Amy’s return to Georgia in July of 2024, she served as a Registered Dietitian for the Hall County Board of Health until her passing.
Amy had an adventurous spirit and loved outdoor activities like hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, bike riding, and spending time with her family at St. Simons Island. She had an unbridled devotion to her children; Abby Usalavage (22), is a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver and currently works as a Medical Assistant and plans on attending Physical Assistant School. Hank Usalavage (19), is a graduate of East High School in Denver, Colorado and currently works in construction with aspirations to become an entrepreneur. Peyton Usalavage (14) who recently completed the 8th grade at East Jackson Middle School and will be entering high school in the fall.
Amy is married to Tim Cicciarelli who is the founder of InBound Digital Media and serves as the afternoon drive host on Cornelia’s, My Country 99.3 WCON. The two previously met while Amy was attending UGA back in 1994 and Tim was employed by 95.5 WNGC. After 25 years apart they reconnected in 2020, were married in Denver, Colorado in 2023, and moved back to North Georgia in 2024.
Amy will be remembered not only for her kind and loving nature, but for her incredible sense of humor, and adventurous spirit with the strength of a warrior as she courageously battled cancer twice in 8 1/2 years. More importantly, Amy served her family as a loving and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all who met her.
Amy Husfeld Cicciarelli is survived by her husband, Timothy Charles Cicciarelli of Commerce, GA; children, Abigail Grace Usalavage, Henry Edward Usalavage both of Denver, Colorado and Peyton May Usalavage of Commerce, GA; Amy’s stepsons, Zachary Wayne Cicciarelli of Los Angeles, CA and Everett David Cicciarelli of Pittsburgh, PA; parents, Glenn and Jane Husfeld of Commerce, GA; Brother Greg Husfeld and his wife Amy of Winterville, GA and their children Nathan Husfeld and Emily Husfeld Roberts who is married to Matt Roberts and d. Brother Russell Husfeld and his wife Renee of Florence, AL and their children Maggie Husfeld, Esther Husfeld, and Cameron Fowler.
A public Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 2535 Jefferson Rd, Athens, GA 30607, with Reverend Timothy Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Friday with a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
