Gerald Franklin Wilson

Gerald Franklin Wilson, age 76, of Horse Cave, KY (Formerly of Buford, GA), passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julia Ann Wilson; parents, Frank and Dosha Wilson; brother, Harold Benjamin Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 48 years, Robin Wilson of Horse Cave, KY; son Beau (Natalie) Wilson of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Berkeley Wilson, Brixton Wilson; sister, Joyce Wilson Matheson of Jamestown, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Wilson was born April 23, 1949 in Boone, N.C. He was a 1967 graduate of Johnson County High School in Mountainview, TN. Mr. Wilson retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 10. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Army for 2 years and 1 month.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Dr. Tom Smiley officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
