Joan Gilbert Plummer

Mrs. Joan Gilbert Plummer, born April 3, 1937 in Woodbury, GA, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family.

At 88 years, Mrs. Joan, Nana, lived a life full of love for her family and kindness and care for all. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Perry Gilbert and Mrs. Mildred Gilbert as well as her sisters, Mrs. Joyce Oglesby and Juanita Gilbert.

Devastated by her loss, she is survived by her son Christopher Plummer, his wife Gretchen, their children Katie and Jack and her great grandchildren, Addi and Ellie. She also leaves behind brothers and sisters who loved her dearly, Mrs. Charlotte Provenson, Mrs. Wanda Powers, Mr. Charles Gilbert and Mr. Bobby Gilbert, as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive visitors at Braselton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 3 to 5 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10 am in the Garden at Braselton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1 pm at Cherokee Memorial Park, 120 Memorial Drive Canton, GA 30114 for her immediate family.
