Marie Allan Breed peacefully and gently passed away on May 21, 2025, after a long battle with the complications from her fifth battle with cancer. She was lovingly sent on her last journey by the wonderful care of HOSPICE at N E Georgia Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held on June 4th, 2025, at 2 PM in the First Presbyterian Church, 800 South Enota Drive NE, Gainesville Georgia 3050.
Marie was Born in Alto, Habersham County, Georgia on April 25, 1945. She is preceded in death by Nellie and James Allan Sr., her parents, as well as her younger brother and sister.
She is also preceded in death by her companion of almost 25 years William (Buddy) McGowan. He was her SOUL MATE!
Her survivors include her brother James Allan Jr., and his wife Starr, her only child Tiffany and her husband Brett. She also had two granddaughters and a grandson.
Her survivors include four nieces, two nephews, five grand nieces, five grand nephews. One step niece, two step nephews, nine step grand nephews.
Marie’s long-time companion brought the love of his three daughters (which she considered to be her own) and their husbands into her life – Melissa and Jeff Brathall, Michelle and Jay Bowers and Nichole Hylan. This also includes Marie's love for their six daughters and five sons, which she considered to be her own grandchildren.
Marie began her 40 + year career in real estate with The Norton Agency in 1978 after moving back to Gainesville from Los Angeles, California. Her first 25 years she was in the “Million Dollar Club” at least 18 times and continued to be a top producer through the ups and downs of the Market. She was selected for many awards throughout her career including Hall County Realtor of the year. She was devoted in providing all her clients with the very best experience and loved her work!
