Joseph Michael Barbato, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Michael Barbato Jr., 69 of Gainesville passed away May 25, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Rev Drewery Loggins will officiate.

Born September 29, 1955 in Rochester, NY, to the late Joseph Michael Barbato Sr., and Laura Bogert Barbato. Mr. Barbato was retired from the ACH Foam Technologies where he worked in maintenance. He spent 35 years as the plant manager at Murray Plastics prior to his retirement.

Mr. Barbato is survived by his wife, Janet Barbato of Gainesville, his three daughters; Christina Barbato of Gainesville, Ashley Barbato of Lawrenceville, Leanne Taylor of Gainesville, his granddaughter Autumn Shockley (AJ), his two grandsons; Joseph Shockley, and Lino G. Hernandez, his special friends, Tracy Shuler, and Marcelino Hernandez, his sister and brother-in-law Laurie and John Dreher, his brother Raymond Barbato, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
